The differential society

Today I was at the Sai temple in Bhubaneswar celebrating the 3rd birthday of Nikki. The party was arranged by many but funded by my father in law. Once I was in the hall where the party was scheduled I was a little taken aback. This was because we booked the room from 10 to 4 for the party and it was 11 and still the decorations had almost to say not started. A few tables on the floor with a pile of chairs and a stage. There was this guy who was the supervisor of the place and he was busy booking next dates rather looking at existing booked customer satisfaction. Well I guess am not speaking Greek and Latin as many may have seen this scenario day in and out in India. What surprised me was a later incident. There were about 4 empty unused clean containers to be used for storing plates once the guests finished their food. This was some what placed in the middle of the room which I wasn't comfortable with and asked the supervisor to move to near the wash basins. Surprise .. he tells me he'll go and inform the sweeper to come upstairs to move that. Really ... Unused clean containers just because it's going to be used for used plates needs a sweeper to come and move it. I picked them up myself and moved it and it made no difference to the thik skinned guys. I wonder which era are we living in. More so in a Sai temple such a lot is differences.....

Day 74, 2016

I live with a hope
I live with a reason
I live with a dream
I live to live again

Life's been very merciful to me for the past few months. Am getting afraid how this can be true. I've never been through such smooth phase in my life, what is in store for me dear life.

Dad's turning 75 tomorrow and hope he likes the cake that I ordered to be delivered. Simple but elegant.

Day 3, 2016

Another day without anything noteworthy. Few messages exchanged but nothing noteworthy. Went to Moti Nagar with her and was sad to hear that the tailor shop will have to be vacated. This guy is there for the past 15-16 years and this 9 by 9 feet shop earned bread and butter to his family and probably couple more of his helpers. His kid, I remember saying the last time, was in 12th and looks like the next fews years were cruicial. God help him please.

Sad to hear the loss of life of the NSG soldier fighting terrorist at Pathankot airbase, and later saw some pics shared on FB of his family with a daughter of, I guess 4-5 years. Not just a loss to the nation, but a even greater loss for this young girl. Will probably never get the real love of her father anymore. Am sure God has both the killer and killed with him now and doing some real justice. If only it could be relayed to this inhumans that fear be built in their hearts.

One big step taken today was the start of my first story. Hope to end it soon and make some logical ending to it. Will there be someone to proof read it for me?

Goodnight !!!

Day 2, 2016

Woke up around 10 with a small nok jhok as usual :-). Straight went to take a bath as water was available only till 11. A big cup of coffee with the newspaper saw me through till 12.

The youtube channel strumm sound has made me an addict ... so an hour of this channel prior to lunch. This is where I picked up the recording that I sent you ... waise I too sing that song pretty well ... vaada karo nahi chodoge tum mera saath ... will sing for you some day ... live

By now I had checked the phone maybe 10 times ... only to see no messages coming through but all my messages read ... tention tention .. God why?

Received message that we'll go to Numaish today and I did not want to drive so booked OLA at 3.  Cab was here on time and took an hour to reach. Concluded that OLA is more expensive than Uber for sure as it billed me 325 till the exhibition ground.  Anyways lovely time with Titli till 9 and back via Uber which costed 220

Finally couldn't resist myself and asked if everything was fine and as I guessed yes everything was fine and no messages because of cooking all day and that too by orders ... kab samaj aayega re ... anyways happy for you that you're happy.

To end ... some clicks around tankbund taken as I passed by after ages by this road.

Day 1, 2016

Wishing everyone a very happy new year 2016.

First time ever that I went to bed on a 31st night without a single drink. Irony struck the hotel in Dubai near Burj Khalifa as I kept watching the 63 storey building on fire as clock passed the midnight stroke.  Shortly after at midnight Dubai time fireworks started from Burj Khalifa and was a wonderful sight.

The day was peaceful but the call at 11 shook me a bit. How rigid people sometimes can be and how uncooperative.  Educated, cultured and evolved people behaving like this is strange. "Change" is the only constant in this world so why can't they adapt it. Use the women but show them they stand below. Force the women to their pleasure but do not please them. I wonder when things will change.

Was at home all through working a bit to prepare for my Monday meeting for the upcoming project. Going to be tough with 15 countries to manage at a point in time. Sadly enough my team is not fully ready yet to help me with and I need to spend a good amount of time to bring them up to speed.

End my day with this beautiful note that I received as a forwarded message:

Ahista chal zindagi, abhi kai karz chukana baaki hai.
Kuch dard mitana baaki hai, kuch farz nibhana baaki hai.
Raftaar mein tere chalne se kuchh rooth gaye, kuch chhut gaye.
Roothon ko manana baaki hai, roton ko hasana baki hai.
Kuch hasraatein abhi adhuri hain, kuch kaam bhi aur zaruri hai.
Khwahishen jo ghut gayi is dil mein, unko dafnana baki hai.
Kuch rishte ban kar toot gaye, kuch judte-judte chhut gaye.
Un tootte-chhutte rishton ke zakhmon ko mitana baki hai.
Tu aage chal main aata hoon, kya chhod tujhe ji paunga?
In saanson par haqq hai jinka, unko samjhaana baaki hai.
Aahista chal zindagi, abhi kai karz chukana baki hai...

Goodnight ... sleep well and take care
