Day -3 to 2016

Some hectic days after the holidays and difficult to get into the busy pace. As usual there are a lot of misses from me that I planned to work on during the 4 day weekend and could not due to the visits. Monday and Tuesday is almost done and I am successful in delivering what I was scheduled to in the last 2 days.

Sonu's planning for a performance at ARK Towers on 31st evening with his Guitar sir's students across SMR and ARK. Excited to see him perform with full blasted equipments. He's been asking for an electric guitar for some time and it makes logical sense not to give it to him now. I promised it after the board exams and he is okay with it. His dream to play in band is a dream for me too to see him performing BIG !!! I hope the day comes soon in his life.

Day -7 to 2016

Been a bit caught up with the last few days ... 2 days (Mon and Tue) was in Alankrita Resort attending the last MFP session. As usual was working simultaneously while attending the sessions. The good news is that the car policy is officially approved and I can now plan for something.

Wednesday, went to the VFS office and submitted the documentation for the visa and also had my biometric done. Ended up having back to back calls from 1:30 to 5:30 that evening. Tired .....

Thursday (24th) was a holiday and went to the nearby Mahindra showroom to check out few models. Been following the review of TUV300 for the last couple of weeks to check if there is any model in my budget. First glance at this ... and was flattered.

Looks tall and sturdy ... definately has some design flaws and may not be a full fledged 7 seater, but the children and short height adults can for sure accomodate at the back making it a full 7 seater.

Nice cockpit view with automatic transmission ... lot of storage space and 2 Din audio system with steering mounted controls. What I will miss is the cruise control.

Day -12 to 2016

Sunday today, and the water crises continues in the society. Peeping with one eye on the wall clock to check how long more I can continue sleeping before 920 as the taps will run dry from 9:30, finally I decided, to heck with 9:30 .. I will manage with the stored water and went back to sleep.

Leaving bed at 10:45, it wasn't a bad decision as water was still available. Rushed in for a quick shower and was just in time as I could see the taps go dry at 11. Some coffee, reading newspaper sitting on the beanbag it was almost 12 when son asked me to go and get me some color prints.

Back at 1:15 as I went over to the car decor shop nearby to get some estimates on the seat covers. In the meanwhile, liked an armrest and got that fitted. It was a thought on my old car which I owned for 7 years but never could get it happen.

Evening was super, went to Kompally to meet in-laws who had come over this morning. Dia has changed a lot, gone silent and pretended as if she was a grown up girl staying without mom who's supposed to come on 25th.


Off to bed now as the cab would arrive at 8 tomorrow for the last session of MFP to be held in Alankrita Resort.

Day -13 to 2016

It is my birthday today !!!

Calls and wishes started pouring in since 8 am. I woke up early but was lazing on bed with the maid doing her usual chores and of course those activities happen with some noise that keeps my eyelids open and shut all the time. Morning coffee served in bed by her at 9 finally and due to the water shortage went in to freshen up with a shower around 920 ... just in time for the water cut off time at 930. Another round of coffee at 10 while reading newspaper sitting on my usual beanbag in son's room balcony and then came his guitar sir.

She asked me at 11 to get ready we need to go to Ameerpet and will have some lunch outside. Been ages we went that side but I agreed and I offered to be the driver to beat the traffic. She was directing me all the time till we entered Marigold by Green Park for lunch. Yes was surprised and then came in my cutiee ... singing "Happy to you". She cannot pronounce birthday and hence that word is skipped. Kept on singing that all the time till she handed over the gift and not just the gift but also helped in opening it.
   
Nice lunch and then back on our way home. Total of about 250+ responses via Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS, Call and of course personal wishes. Tired .....

Day -14 to 2016

Went for my visa stamping in the morning all the way to road number 12 only to be told that there are some additional holidays declared and I will not be able to get my visa on time. So ... Yeah so go back and re-do all paperwork and come back and submit. Now the travel can be no earlier than 11th Jan. Boss is of the same opinion that it probably makes no sense going that late.

Overall a nice day, finally was able to complete the SCP plan template that I've been working on since 3 weeks. Team got a cute small but extremely yummy cake for my bithday.

Some bad news too about an accident of a very dear friend of mine.  Worried me a bit but after talking feeling better amnd comfortable that things are probably okay. Will take few days dear ... don't worry and try and forget the incident.

Ending it all was the movie show ... first day last show. Back home at 2 and tired like hell.

Day -15 to 2016

All through last night I kept turning from one side to the other. Something and everything going on in my mind which I hardly remember now. All of a sudden I hear the phone ring and look outside at the balcony, it was dark and I thought who could be at this hour. Moving my hand all over to find the phone I discover it is her phone and it is not ringing, it's the 6 AM alarm. I realize then that it is morning and I have not had any sleep. Another instant thought that runs through my mind is about who wakes up at 5 or so ... its pitch dark outside when they start their day. Very rarely do I get to see the sunrise so I do not even probably know when the sun rises.

Anyways, manage to sleep till 930 and then hurry and get ready to hit the road by 10 to reach office by 1030 for my meeting. Taking the longer but predictable road, I did well managing my time and reached at 1030 just in time for the meeting.

The day was hectic, long meetings, late lunch, no coffee break. Tired at the end of the day, plan to go home at 640 only to find no one at home and I am not carrying the main door keys. Loiter around in the passage and sit sometime by the stairs a good 40 minutes before son arrives from his tution and we get inside together.

Have organized the files for tomorrow and have to take some last moment xerox before I reach the VFS office to submit the papers for my visa. Scheduled to be there by 11, am planning to start around 945 at the max. Wish me luck that I have all that is required to submit that documentation for the visa.

Day -16 to 2016

Starting off a few days ahead of the new year for which I have a resolution to write every day. Call this a practice to that or a warm up to that. I hope that I enter new year with my hand ligament cured and I go back to my first love at the begining of the year.
